| TRUMPET LESSONS James Smock, adjunct music faculty at Clark College, is now accepting students for his Vancouver Studio. James Smock is the principal trumpet of the Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra and Oregon East Symphony. In addition, James is a member of the Vancouver Symphony, Walla Walla Symphony, and a substitute player for the Oregon Symphony. I offer a hands on experience to many of the art mediums, including: drawing, painting, stone sculpture, wire sculpture, ceramics-both hand building and wheel throwing, graphic design projects collage and a lot more! I hand tailor the classes to the interests of the students. My back ground includes middle school art teaching and graphic designer for a school district. I have a Masters of Art in teaching from Lewis and Clark College.. I enjoy working with kids and want to offer them as many different art experieces as possible. Classes are offered once a week on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in 2 hour blocks of time. | Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation Home School Programs. The Firstenburg Community Center provides Daytime Homeschool PE classes on Wednesday mornings, starting in January, 2007! These are 1 hour classes, one day a week, for a 4 week session. These are fun classes, designed to teach basic fundamental of various sports. Price is $25. | VOICES OF PRAISE CHOIR Voices of Praise is a High School choir for homeschooled students under the direction of internationally recognized director, Mike McCormic. The choir currently consists of over 50 students from all over Clark County, Washington and Columbia County, Oregon. Admission is by audition only. Previous experience is not necessary but you do need to be able to carry a tune. There are openings for tenors and basses. Sopranos and Altos may audition to be placed on the waiting list.
